Recent matchup chart for 1750 MR or higher

Overall pretty balanced but some crazy 1 sided matchups for a few specific zoner or grappler character matchups, especially Dhalsim.

Ken under 50% overall WR btw.

Does not include ease of use to effectiveness ratio so feel free to complain about that.

Zangief vs Dhalsim - the worst matchup in the game.
Seeing Guile's worst MU in this being Gief is pretty funny. Not that I agree with it but so many player's that don't play either think that's supposed to be a lopsided win for Guile when that isn't true at all

I think there are definitely some side factors to take into consideration.

Like obviously the matchups with high number of sample size can be considered to be more accurate as those will probably have more players using those characters and weaker/non-shoto characters tend to have less players overall such as Sim, Gief and Lilly and their MUs are probably a bit less accurate/more player dependent as a result.

Im a bit surprised Ryu is relatively "weak" according to this - id have thought it would be other characters before him but then again if you want to climb in ranked winning the ryu matchup with decent consistency is borderline mandatory considering how many there are. Also his matchups against cammy and chun - both characters with really good moves to get past fireball - are a big factor in his total rating being relatively low.

There are also some other interesting things of note like Honda doing somewhat poorly against most "regular" Fireball zoners and JP but doing great against sim which is kinda interesting to think about - probably due to the limbs having hurtboxes and buttslam being a great tool for controlling screenspace in the air against sims hover.

edit: fun fact - you can look at the sample size for mirror matches to get an idea of how popular/well represented a character is in general

Damn Jamie seems to be hurting.

Seems like Luke is the most consistent. No wildly imbalanced matchups but all either even or slightly in his favor.

For master rank, this isn't surprising. Ryu has had consistent low winrates for these master MU charts since the game came out. Usually it's between him and Jamie on who's the lowest

Helps give bad Ryus another way to downplay
