What are some good setups for Marissa
I'm new and on modern and like playing Marissa but my opponents are pretty hard to stun to start something.is there a decent move or combo to use?

Head's up: The advice below applies to, pretty much, all characters.

At the low ranks i.e Rookie-Bronze just brute force your way towards the competition with jumping attacks, Drive Impact and auto combos.

When you finally get hard stuck on Silver then it's time to learn other tricks and tactics such as anti-airs, parries, Drive Rush, jab x3, counter Drive Impact, knowledge against zoning i.e a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ patience, the neutral game plus the general footwork and mInD gAmEs (that only contribute to your mental stack). Avoid jumping non-stop, as well. These will carry you to Gold.

If you actually manage to leave Gold, though (not easy like the internet pRoS make you believe) and reach Platinum then you just mix and match for low Platinum is anything goes territory (you either find complete noob scrubs without any idea of what they're doing or tournament champions since day one).

And you don't really need any advice if you leave Platinum.

If we're stressed we forget about any tip and mess up, btw. Anger always gets to us, sooner or later. So good luck.

When I search YouTube for Modern Marisa SF6 I see videos showcasing high level players. You can very much pick up what they're doing, Marisa's moves are very visually distinct.
I'm not qualified to say what's good, but I think I can safely say that all the most simplistic advice of yesterday like being able to spam Gladius to Platinum with Marissa, or headbutt with Honda, etc - all the gimmicks are outdated and the community has adapted. I got to Bronze with Modern Marisa's stock combos, but hit a brick wall till I get better.
