Following thread, since curious too
Nvidia cards are better but more expensive, pick your poison
ty anyhow i saw this video already, but im not pretty sure,,,
You mean AMD cards that have inferior drivers, higher power draws, inferior tech, dlss is way better than fsr, worst ray tracing capabilities amongst countless other inferiorities I can’t be bothered to mention
AMD cards are cheaper for a good reason because if they were priced the same as Nvidias nobody would buy them
If you just need a gpu for sf6, any budget card will do, it’s not a demanding game
Vram only really became an ‘issue’ because of the volume of terribly optimised Pc ports that were released this year. A lot of AMD shill YouTubers then started pushing this vram agenda because some nvidia cards had less
The reality is 12gbs is more than enough for 1440p, 16 which is on a lot of mid tier AMD cards really is overkill when a developer bothers to optimise a game properly
If people had better standards and stopped buying crap pc ports then this issue would have been moot from the start.
Yes nvidia cards are way too expensive, that is unquestionable, but at the same time what money you can save on an AMD equivalent you can easily end up paying back on the higher power draws usually found on their cards
The 7800 uses 63 watts more power than a 4070, worth taking into consideration if the electricity bill is an issue
NV drivers are using the same interface they used in 2004, and WINDOWS 9x debuting on the Geforce 6000 series.
NV drivers purposefully break older games NV doesn't care about if they can gain a speed hack in a newer more relevant game especially if that game is being benchmarked by the media.
NV drivers are CRAP, AMD goes out of their way to keep older games working in their drivers, and their drivers have more features, now then NV, basically afterburner BUILT in. Where NV went out of thier way to remove the OC features from their drivers years ago it used to be called coolbits.
NV does not have better drivers. Even in the early days of the TNT\Geforce1\2 their drivers were a crashfest, as much as ATI's were.
AMD drivers have been notorious for instability. Nvidia have always had more stable drivers, they frequently update them and are less buggy. I'm had nothing but issues with AMD drivers in the past, one of the main reasons I don't like their cards
