Depending on how fast your internet is, it may be faster to just download it at launch than preload and wait for Steam to decrypt it, though.
The beta wasn’t a preload. They merely released the client before servers were live meaning you’d just get an error message loading it before the beta date.
A preload is encrypted, you wouldn’t have been able to load the beta at all prior to the date if that was the case
“It wasn’t a preload, they merely allowed you to download it before you could access it”.
Lol, you’re a riot.
Why have you quoted something I didn’t say
The beta wasn’t a preload. Nothing was encrypted, nothing required encryption keys to unlock
I dunno man, you could pre-emptively load it onto your computer and pretty much the entire internet was calling it a pre-load, which is clearly was.
I think you’re just stumbling over yourself as part of this “this game is terrible and I am a grumpy user who will be down on it at every possible opportunity in every thread I possibly can” thing you’ve got going on.
The fact that Capcom have a history, with this game of letting people obtain the download before it can be accessed, and have already announced the console preload means there’s a good chance there’ll be one on Steam as well.
okay ignoring you going off tangent here the beta was not a preload
the beta was a normal download, once downloaded you could load it at anytime but if you loaded it outside of the beta date you get a en error message saying fail to connect to server, you would still load up the game and get a splash screen
a preload can't be run as it is encrypted, you try running a preload you'll get a message saying the game is not released yet, it's not going to work until the encryption keys are released and downloaded and unpacked
saying the beta is a 'preload' is straight up misinformation because it never was, there is a significant difference here. When you say SF6 will get a preload because the beta got a preload that is just false.
Capcom have not done a preload since RE village demo which got cracked through a time exploit so Capcom haven't done a PC preload since, so don't expect one for SF6
Like, whatever man - you could load it onto your computer ahead of the date you could use it.
It was a preload.
lol. How can u be so sure?
Man, i just saw it. Ahahaha. Preload is available on Steam
