I don't want to play as a custom character

Agreed. No one wants to play as custom characters. Soul Calibre 6 found that out that hard way. I'm not sure why developers still think it's a good idea.

Yeah customisable characters don't really work in pure fighting games like Street Fighter, they work in Xenoverse 2 because there's a lot of reason people play that game TO play as your own character but no one really wanted to play as their own character in Street Fighter until Capcom all of a sudden told people they wanted to.

Same.. I'm here for the iconic characters and Juri.. custom characters are so lame. In Soul Calibur 6 it works and is part of the series.. here seems forced.

You can fight custom characters against one another in the battle hub, they are not part of the online casual or ranked environment.

Custom characters are a meme, but to be fair, it did convince my brother (who isn't into fighting games) to want to buy it. I imagine that it will convince a lot of new comers to want to try it. I'm sure that's the reason they added it.

I want to play custom characters. It is one of the features I'm most looking forward to. I'm also looking forward to custom character tournaments to see who can make the most busted character. I don't know why people feel the need to pretend that their opinion is shared by everybody.

Custom characters are optional. They are not apart of ranked or casual matchmaking if that's all you are interested in.

They're completely optional to engage with at any point in any PvP mode. To fight against someone's avatar, you have to accept their challenge in the Battle Hub. You can actually just pretend custom characters don't exist and that alternate reality can live unchallenged.

A big part of the Dev time and budget went into adding a world tour mode that you can play in as a custom character, Capcom even hired lil Wayne to market It. You Better Like It!!!

IMHO Capcom has done it right:
- Custom characters and their game mode are atracting new players.
- Custom characters are only available for a couple of single player modes. So don't worry about them in ranked.

We don't know if Dudley will come in a future DLC, but nothing stops you to create a character identical to him, and with his name. You also could keep adding moves to fit a Dudley style.

I don't want "Dudley at home" I want to play Dudley. Till then no sf6 for me.
