This talking point always ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ baffles me. Luke is just wearing standard MMA wear (compression shorts and boxing shorts) because luke is, shocker, an MMA fighter! It's not exclusive to any character lmfao.

I think they're mostly unhappy because that was his default SFV costume and they expected more from it. IMO better this than Maximillian Ken.

This I can agree with, he should've gotten a new outfit, blanka got hard shafted too.

I can't understand how people are complaining about Blanka and Luke's costumes.

Luke's SFV look was so much better than his SF6 look, his costume 2 was trash in SF6 too, he finally has a decent looking alt now.

Blanka chan was a massive meme, and it's hilarious that he finally got it back.

Problem is, he already had that costume in WT, and Avatar can wear one too, so it feels super cheap.

To me he's the only dud out of the bunch, the rest range from okay to homerun.

My issue with the Luke costume is it should have been his 2nd costume as that is where they were slotting in all of the "retro" looks for returning characters.

If Lukes 2nd costume was his 3rd I feel the reception may have been warmer. I don't outright hate any of the costumes, but Luke's and Jamie's are the ones I'm coldest on.

About fighting games ripping each other off, well yeah, they do that constantly. Dan was a piss take against KOF for ripping off Ryu and Ken.

while this makes sense, I feel like his 2nd costume sucks so bad that they wouldn't be able to sell it, I don't imagine many people bought his costume 2 and instead just unlocked for free via world tour.

This is arguably the reason Sakura exists too. They basically took Yuri Sakazaki's design while Yuri was meant to make fun of Akuma (cute high schooler doing air fireballs)

That's fair, I really dig Luke's 1st outfit, but hypothetically if I absolutely had to choose between the 2nd or 3rd. There is no way in hell I am chosing "How do you do my fellow kids" Luke over his OG SF V look.
