World Tour is good but not great.
I liked World Tour but felt the mode was too short. It feels like something was missing from the mode. Like, maybe around 7 chapters of content. I also feel there was a lack of clothing, tattoo/paint and hair options (could have just used stuff from the main fighters, if they did not want to spend too much time making new models).

Not sure if (what I feel is) missing story will be DLC, but it shouldn't be (I wouldn't mind new move sets as DLC and creation parts).

Still, it was a nice amount of playtime for a fighting game's story mode and there are other modes to play. But I still cannot rid myself of that feeling that something is missing. It has been bugging me since I finished the main story of the mode and slowly working to get levels to finish the side quests and master relationships.

So, I feel World Tour is good but just good, and I will say that I do not feel like restarting the mode to play again. It is long enough that it feels annoying to lose all your data starting over, but not long enough to truly make me happy with the story.

Maybe add a second story slot and/or a New Game Plus (It would be fun going through a second time with a full move set and maybe harder foes to fight)?

A 6.5 out of 10 mode. A good mode but felt a bit hollow/lacking at times (still had a lot of fun messing around with my own creation).

If you thought the story mode was good youd love yakuza games. Its this. but not bad.

I have heard about those games. Might try them down the road. Thanks for the idea.
world tour is awful

It is not the best, but I wouldn't call it awful. Awful would be WWE 2K20's story mode (when it is not crashing).
i can play any other fighting games single player mode to get unlocks but i just can't bring myself to play world tour. it's that bad.

Well, you have a right to your opinion because not everyone enjoys everything. Some people like some things or others, and World Tour has a number of things that could have been done better. But I do still like it, even with the lacking feeling.

Reviewers said it was short too. Meanwhile with almost no extra grinding, just doing all the sidequests, gathering costumes and otherwise focusing on main story, it took me 40h to play the game through. And I still haven't maxed more than 2 of my masters. That's *far* from too short.

Obviously I'd love more content too but come on, for a fighting game that's incredible! World Tour is by far the best thing about the game so far. Getting to know the iconic characters was fun, the story was fun, exploring was fun. I want this to become an entirely new genre tbh!

Imagine WT and the same fighting game mechanics and depth, and this character customization and all, but with multiplayer where you meet other players and make friends, do spontaneous duels, or even group up to go take down tough challenges together!

I did not say it was bad. Still, I do feel like it is a little hollow in some areas. But there are worse game stories out there.

Though, I have no idea how it took you 40 hours to beat it. Unless it was that one side quest where you have to find some items for someone (and the items just don't want to drop) that took most of your time.

Still, it is a good mode (all in all) and I hope it is added to (this game) and kept around for the next game (whenever that comes out).

I wasn't stuck on anything for long. But yeah the quest you're talking about did take a bit extra. Problem was I was overleveled by the time I started doing it, so getting those pipes or whatever from chinatown was impossible when I had to do 3 throws or 10 punches and everyone was KO'd in one mean look x.x

I really wish you could just do it all over. Either another save with all the stuff unlocked you go in your first game, or just a ng+ mode. I didn't expect WT to be the most fun I've had in a game in a few years probably. But there's no way I'm losing all my progress just to do it again.

Yeah, the lack of a proper redo outside of a hard restart is one thing that really annoys me.

its unbelievable how ppl look at this side mode in a fighting game n expect dragon age origins or final fantasy 7, only to get surprised that its a side mode in a fighting game

It's definitely frustrating trying to do some of those objectives against low level enemies once you're leveled up. There are some consumable items that can make you weaker but even those might not be enough.

The only other thing I could think of would be to use a trainer and set both your Health and the AI Health to infinite and then beat on them until you accomplish the objective at which point you can turn off the cheats.

I'm not wanting a million side quests. I just wanted a little more (main game) than what we got and more stuff to put on my custom. It could also help to have some people to fight who are level 70 as it is a nightmare to get to level 80 to fight some fighters who are level 80-85.

I'm glad you were able to find enjoyment in it. I just can't bring myself to go any further in it.

Main problem of world tour is if you're using classic, in my experience you won't be able to complete adapt a master's fighting style. For example hadouken and donkey kick are both 236(P) and 236(K), but the game doesn't allow you to put 2 of the same motion input so it's really annoying. Luckily for me I chose Juri and didn't have any problem playing 'Juri'
