Check out this thread. Ctrl+F and look up Luke. You'll find a few good players that you can learn from.
Also, he seems to push his hurt box outward before his hitbox. so even if u inputed ur crouching medium first, ur opponent will hit you before you hit them (if you even end up hitting them). It's extremely frustrating. You definitely have to try harder than people playing other characters.
of course a good player can do well with luke. but that doesnt mean he's a good character. He requires a lot more work and creativity on ur part to be successful compared to other characters
Was there any luke in top 8 of any recent tourneys?
are the best characters, everyone else is mid, there are no low tiers, the game is too homogenised in its design for that, everyone is viable its just the above characters are overtuned
This game has a very low skill ceiling, nobody is going to dominate this game, expect tourney results to be all over the place
If your character doesn’t have a wake up ex reversal in this game you get mauled on wake up.
Ken, DJ, Luke, Guile, Cammy, Juri. Below them we have JP, Honda, Manon. Can't put JP into S tier when literally all matchups in S Tier are bad for him.
But anyway I am excited when people and lower ranked players understand that tierlists will never fit with their own skill.
He's got tools for just about every situation, and while he doesn't excel in any particular place, he's pretty solid.
Nah JP is op
One simple cane combo and you’re in the corner, commence spam, rinse and repeat
He has the best reversal in the game, insane wall carry, spam, good normals, ambiguous pressure from his teleport. Being burnt out against him is a death sentence as he’ll meteorite spam you into oblivion
You will always find bad Jp players who just try to zone and run away constantly and get exposed but the good ones will play in your face when they need to. He is incredibly overtuned
