Tips for Charge attacks on classic controls?

I can't quite grasp the charge attacks on characters like blanka, for example. It says to continuously hold the back button then press forward, but I can't seem to time it right.

For example

-> <- + LK

You have to hold back for a bit under a second.

You can also Buffer Charge Attacks that means for exsample i know its a Bad one but when you jump forward the moment you do the jump forward input you start holding back this guarantees you charge move ist ready to use the moment you land on the ground.

If you have problems with Charge moves there is a mini game in World Tour that teaches you the Timings.

i learned the charge timing 30 years ago by counting in my head to 2 i know its a bit faster but that helped me back in the day.

i got you on those advanced charge skills as i do main dee jay and have played pretty much all character but more of charge character player even tho i do play charge i can use pretty much any one so if you like i can teach ya the advanced moves for charge characters when you get the game idk if u have the game maybe on console

Charge inputs take 45frames, 3/4th of a sec.

Always charge. when ever you do something move that stick back to the charge direction. Condition yourself to make it muscle memory.

Well from your post you are doing forward then back so you are wrong immediately!
