Getting a dragon punch when inputting a full circle motion
I am playing Cammy and am getting lots of accidental DPs due to how the game reads inputs. If I input foward, then do a perfect quarter circle motion, it will read it as a DP instead of the quarter circle motion move which has been pretty frustrating. Is there a way to fix this?

This is normal for every fighting game because of the input buffer. The game remembers your inputs for a while because otherwise it would be too strict and not enjoyable like Street Fighter 1. When you walk forward the game remembers the 6 input and if you do a fireball input right after the game will read it as 6236 and since there is a dragon punch input there it will think you wanted a DP.

This is normal and everyone had to get over this hurdle. Do what Ahriman said: either add a backward input 64236 or stop before you do the quarter circle or just delay the punch/kick button a little. With time you'll develop a feeling for this delay.

why exactly are you doing this input on cammy? or do you mean quartercircle forward? if you mean quartercircle you will have to wait a moment before you do the input or press back before.

My bad I realized I said half circle when I meant quarter

I actually had the same problem with Cammy. Lots of accidental DPs while trying quarter circle forward while walking forward
yep the same, with ryu and fireball/dragon punch

It got better after a few hours but the game is incredible picky/sensible about inputs sometimes when I am shacking my controller/fightstick it inputs a kick aswell. (mostly medium kick)
DP and Cammy are illegal.

Go into training mode and look at your inputs, you're most likely doing it wrong.

I've been having this issue since SF4, the game(s) just seems to heavily favor dragon punches when you're clearly during QCF/trying to do some kind of hadoken attack. It seems to do it more reliably if you're doing a QCF from a full stand still, but if you're trying to do it while moving forward, nope, Dragon Punch.

*Notorious neutral flick before hadoken

I feel it

I checked and I am doing it right. The input looks something like this:
⇒ N ⇓⇘⇒
For some reason this spits out a dp rather than cammy's spiral arrow

you do keep holding 6 (forward) right? just asking

This is actually an accessibility thing in a lot of fighting games to make it easier to get DP. If you want to be sure you get quarter circle instead, do a half circle forward motion.

I think its:
forward -> neutral -> down -> down forward -> forward (6,5,2,3,6)
