I dont care either and her legs makes my eyes wide!!!!
The problem with a lot of the information on Poison is that it's largely coming from producers and artists and those sorts of people as opposed to the actual writers.
One thing I keep trying to tell people is that Capcom did several manga series over the years as games were released that exist to fill in the various story lines and explain how this extended universe works. Final Fight, Rival Schools, and Street Fighter all exist in the same universe. The comics explain those connections as well as how the different game series inter related, who was the canonical winners, and things like that. Part of why some of the endings seem so surreal or like they are part of a story you don't know the rest of is because that was a hook to get the Japanese audience to buy the support material. It's noteworthy that some characters like "Charlie" existed purely in comic form before showing up in the video games and so on.
I mean they really did torpedo everything for SF 6 (other games as well as the support material) as far as I can tell as the whole set up is kind of ridiculous. That said to really "get" Poison as she's supposed to be in universe, your not going to get that from the original artists of the video games as they might be able to speak for initial intent, but they aren't the ones handling the universe and where the characters went, and that's where a lot of my information is from.
As far as what Poison should be like in SF 6, the horrors of it's writing aside it's being defined as "present day" and further in the future from the previous games. The "Metro City" cinematic literally references Haggar fighting the gangs off with his buddy in the intro. As such this means Poison would be the same basic age as the other main cast members. Unless they do the gene engineering thing she would be unrecognizable from the other games as she would be in like her late 40s or 50s at this point. Likewise it's far enough down the evolution of the character where even if they started as a man they would be post-op/gene engineered so no bulge.
That said, you will notice I initially said that this character would be a mess, because as you can tell from responses there are plenty of people who feel trans would be best represented by her having that bulge and not tying themselves back as described in the comics. A big issue is if they do it (the way I heard or otherwise) it's going to be controversial no matter what direction they go in. If it was me I'd keep to the integrity of the writing, but it's pretty obvious Capcom already abandoned that, so who knows what they will do if it indeed happens.
Any way it goes, whether the expansion plans I heard are real or not, I think it's inevitable she will appear, as will the other Final Fight characters, as they made a huge deal about setting the RPG mode in the same city as the games, and referencing the characters. I'd be shocked if they do not show up at some point even if all the other stuff doesn't happen.
Having discussions like these is the main reason why I dislike the modern west.
No devs could've forseen this level of mental illness in this clown world.
