How to send messages to players?

I'm wondering the same thing. It kinda sucks when I find a guy I can learn from and then I can't write him and ask for advice.

I don't think there's an easy button to just open their steam profile but their CFN profile shows their steam ID, you can use steamidfinder.com to look up the player with that ID

Actually. On xbox i am often getting ggs after match. That never happened on PC. Dunno why.

The only chat feature I could find is in the battle hub. People have been cordial though for the few matches I fought so far, whether they won or lost. Pleasantly surprised

Yeah, most people are great. I've met a lot of wonderful, helpful people in this community that will go out of their way to help you learn and get better. I've had guys who won tournaments take time out to play a couple sets with me and give me advice simply because I asked. But one in a hundred lose their ♥♥♥♥ and it's hilarious.

I also used to be a Gouken main back in the SF4 days and while he was a very flawed character (usually considered D-tier), he incredibly frustrating to play against if you played him right. A character based around forcing yomi situations and really good at exploiting mistakes.

So, you can DM people through the player list. It's the only way that I've found. Scroll through, find them, and select them. You'll see where you can message them.

Not sure if this is what you mean. Go up to the player and press F to interact. Click on Send Private Message.
The message will show as pink in the chatlog, but no one else will see it.
