Thats great but I prefer 2D FG, so regardless how perfect T8 may be its still another game
lmao at comparing a 3D fighter to a 2D fighter, I mean hadoken is look the easiest motion in all fighting games to do, you'd kill yourself playing King of Fighters if you think thats hard
There is some kind of weird group who want just a huge blender that makes everything feels and plays the same.
It doesn't even use any of the unreal engine 5's main selling points.
Putting words in my mouth there. I am not saying they should play the same. I am saying Tekken is the better game. SF input feels rigid and stiff while Tekken is flowing like water.
I thought I do well so far, but right now I'm a bit depressed. Thought I make progress but right now I see, I can't do anything, can't not even get the timing right in intermediate combo trails. And even winning against cpu 4 needs a bit of luck for me.
And while all special moves are fairly easy on it's own (I mean, a quarter circle is actually not so hard by itself), in fight / in combination with other inputs, they don't come out. Battles are then so hectic for me, that it seems more like button mashing to myself and that's exactly what I didn't want to do.
But I really want to do it right ...
As I said, just venting, I know that training / more playing is the only thing that helps.
My biggest issue is I get communication errors or accessing content I dont have and the game restarting all the time. No idea why it does that. Also my game freezes up constantly where I cant access menus as it looks for matches. The matchmaking and errors are the biggest problem
I love watching fighting games but man do I just feel like a fish out of water whenever I try playing one. Game looks and sounds nice at least...
The FGC can be kind of toxic honestly with new players. Dont let it get to you. Losing is a bigger part of the game then winning honestly.
I feel your pain with those super inputs, especially in the middle a real match. I've been taking a very slow approach to combos and just focusing on simple, 3-hits to work on hit confirming my attacks so when I get my inputs more consistent I'll have a decent foundation.
There's also an option in the combo trial to slow the game speed down by 50% that might help a bit too. The timing are a bit tricky but keep at it and I'm sure something will eventually click.
