Do you have a 4k monitor? That option shows up for me too, but is grayed because my monitors are all 1440

What is the max resolution of your monitor? I have an ultrawide and it's 3840x1440 and mine is greyed out as well. I thought it is probably because it doesn't support ultrawide.

Are you sure you are not using Borderless Windows as you can only Select your resolution when in fullscreen?

also could be UW isnt supported yet in 4k?

Full screen isn't an option. It's either borderless window or windowed. And you can choose your resolution in borderless window.

Your monitor base resolution should be 3840x2160 obviously.

I have a 1080p monitor but i like running the games in 4K and have it downscaled to 1080p because it looks so much better, but SF6 doesn’t allow me to select 4K because it sees my Sony TV and knows it’s a 1080p TV. It’s sad because other games let me select 4K, and earlier SF6 used to let me do that as well.

You can either setup your GPU properly so that it shows the 4K resolution, or you can edit the ini to have it render at 2x resolution. There are guides for that on Steam.

SF6 don't have up-scaling options like Resident Evil.

It's not in the game settings, probably because this game is on the heavier side at 4K and they assumed no one would want it, but it has a fully functional internal resolution setting that usually goes up to 1 (with the in-game settings) but the sky's the limit if you use Notepad.

Yea REengine generally just has a pretty dumb way of handling resolution. This combines with fullscreen optimizations that windows uses now so it doesn't have to buffer more frames in borderless fullscreen. There are a couple ways you could handle fixing this. Find the games exe and click properties find the setting to scale the application by the program. This should make the default resolution used in windows border less mode whatever you are using on desktop. You could also try switching to windowed mode then changing the resolution and then switching it back to fullscreen borderless. Although this method is more prone to reverting when the game first starts up because it will still try to use the desktop resolution and it's too dumb to ignore windows DPI scaling. Then if that doesn't work you could try looking for the config file next to the games exe file and manually changing the resolution using notepad.
