Can you earn Fighter Coins?

I may have missed it through all the explaining in the game, but. Is there ways to get some Fighter Coins by playing the game?

I don't expect to be able to get everything for free, but, I'm thinking there are ways where we can get maybe one or two things at least.

You can get the customes by playing the story mode. I think Fighter Coins is exclusive the real money currency.

Sucks but not surprising. Saw that Chipotle thing. Nice of them, but. I'm not going to go through any of that app stuff for $2.50 worth of points, though.
