So initially, turning on compile shaders solved my issues. I can now run the
game at 60 fps with most settings at the highest, or second from the highest settings.
What I find bizarre is that when I sometimes boot up the game, it can't run at 60 fps; or even at a consistent 30 fps. Today for instance, I booted up the game four times (play some matches, stop to take care of my kids, and come back on). The first three times, the game boots up perfectly, and I am able to play matches at 60fps with the aforementioned settings. On the fourth time onward, the game chugs when it boots up to any screen where 3D models are displayed (meaning, that on the menu screens, etc, the game is still running at 60 fps).
also why is this a bug its so stupid 😂
Until I reboot the game.
The option for compile shaders is turned on to "perform" but the games much much more stuttery than before.
If I change graphic settings and such, it MIGHT do the shader cache again for another half hour and on that boot its flawless.
Its like its just dumping the shader cache into the void after I close the game?
I think you are exactly on the money with this. Precompiling shaders made no difference.
Changing settings do nothing..it runs the same at max settings 1080p or minimum settings 720p...
online runs perfectly at max settings 1080p.
all other games work fine
Also ,if you fixed those stattering how did you do ? the game is basically unplayable for me , it keeps crashing as you said at 50% of shader compilation and if i disable the shaders it takes around 2 minutes to move from an action to another, i literally reach the practice mode after 30 mins
my compile took maybe 3 or 5 minutes
load times a lot quicker after compile for me but if i max internal resolution i still get fps drops
but not sure what stutter ppl refer to
well that's interesting, i'm also on 1060
but i-7 2.1GHz and 16G RAM
so that explains it
my game has no stutter unless if i turn internal resolution to 5 then i get some frame drops
and I'm sorry, but I'm gonna swear a bit. cover your ears. it's about to get coarse.
why the DARN-TOOTIN' HECK is this not always an immediate requirement for games like this? or at least a default option if you WANT your game to run like spit?
example -- as much as I'm not into MODERN WARFART II, it *insists* on precompiling the shaders before it even allows me to play anything. and it does takes a little bit. but I've never seen a stutter, and the game looks gorgeous. THAT'S a good trade, in my opinion. very good trade.
if you've gotta wait, wait. is that not why we're here? haven't we chosen PC because we're good to wait for the better experience? we'll pay more, we'll wait more. we SHOULD, anyway.
I never ever buy into PC Master Race bullspit, buy the setup that's right for you. but for me it's PC, and if I've got to wait for Monster Hunter Rise to never, ever stutter . . . . bring that ♥♥♥♥ on, man.
of course there will always be dongers like Jedi Outcast (or for me Hogwarts Legacy) that stutter no matter how many token precompiles it does, but for the most part the GOOD ones really do the trick.
always precompile. always. give us the OPTION, at least. SF6 is right on with this one, though imo it should be default ON.
anyway, peacepeace. I get heated when it comes to ststststutterers. I'll always take less graphics for more smoothness. or more smoothness for less frames. if you cap it at 60 but it's a SMOOTH 60, all the better. but that's my deal.
