A Hard Pass - I don't want no Kernel level spyware.

Screw you Capcom. What kind of sneaking the last minute play is this? Just today I see a "Denuvo" on your page right before my intent at purchasing the damned game on the day of release.

For the smooth-brains out there in this forum, no I don't want no Kernel level spyware phoning home to Denuvo Servers every time I play a game I purchased with my hard earned money. Nor do I want the game to die the moment Denuvo dies and goes bankrupt. Hopefully soon.

If you didn't get the hint, here's the priority at which this spyware is essentially falling short:

#1 If Denuvo dies or drops support of a particular game, that game infected by this parasite of a system will entirely stop working. Get that into your empty heads. It's not about piracy. They get cracked anyway.

#2 Kernel Level Spyware: You might as well walk out the door naked, as you're pretty desensitized with how corps know more about you than yourselves.

#3 Bad performance; this one is a coin toss, as it obviously depends on the system your running. And no, it's not because someone is using a damned Pentium 4. I've seen people with latest GPU & CPU & RAM combination get hammered.


Use your non-existent brain that's fallen into the void and see the issues for what it actually is.

#1 As long as the game is making money they won't let it die and if you want to play SF6 in 20 years you'll still have the cracked version. Where's the problem?

#2 I don't think you can really consoom in current year and not sacrifice privacy. Become a hermit, live on a farm and play with sticks. Is there really any other way?
