is denuvo really that big of a deal?

ive bought countless games with denuvo and never had a negative experience. they all run at a stable 60fps 1080p without any issues. genuinely, why do people hate it? the only people I can picture being negatively affected by it in a meaningful way are people playing on potatoes and/or people that want to pirate the game and have to wait for a crack.

even that isn't really true denuvo usually gets cracked within hours of release for games. at worst it may cause some slight performance issues that are light so if you aren't already straddling the fences on the specs you mostly won't notice it.

hours? that wasn't even true back when denuvo was new, it takes an average of a several weeks to several months to crack denuvo games

King Kilo, do some research on how some versions of Denuvo inject themselves at the Kernel level on your PC, giving the highest permissions possible, and tell me that doesn't bother you.

People are upset because Capcom misrepresented their product. They updated the store page TODAY with news of Denuvo. For the people that this matters to, it's a slap in the face. For the people who don't care, they'll carry on, unaffected, because they can't be bothered with protecting their own PC from corporations.

Steam Deck users are also raising concern, because Denuvo could potentially cause performance issues on their devices. The rest of the performance concerns will vary from machine to machine.

No negative experience... One day you would want to play a game offline, maybe because your ISP went offline for maintenance, then suddenly you cant play a game you paid for and a pirate that didnt pay a dime can play the game in the same situation.

So Denuvo is pointless. Why it have to be there in first place?

it CAN take several weeks but not always there have been a few denuvo games that were cracked same day or even a few days from the release. its kind of a toss up in either direction.
