luke is super dificult to use
being honest i use modern control
and in the beta all the characters(including jamie and krimbely) was super easy to use
with exeption of one
luke he was super dificult to use in modern control
and i play the demo using the control that i normally use
and gueeeessssssssssss
luke still are dificult to use
and ryu keep friendly for begginers(warning in not a begginer i play sf since sf4 super arcade edition)
but yea ryu is super friendly for begginers if you whanna to play with one character to train i recomend ryu

I have been away from fighting games for many years and trying the demo for SF6, I found Luke more beginner friendly than Ryu. I am using the character guide to train combos (since the demo lacks a proper practice mode) and fighting in versus with AI level 7 to try them during fights and Luke feels much easier to play.

How are you not a beginner if you're using MC.

To be fair, higher level players are also using it, because instant reactive specials/supers are worth losing 20% damage.
Considering you can still use the motion input for full damage with supers and most specials, the only issue is if the player really needs the missing normals for a character. I guess it's a case-by-case basis.

I'm likely never going to touch Modern controls because they feel really strange on a fightstick (or perhaps I've just not found the button combinations to do things?), and I'm certainly not playing on controller. I enjoy the stick too much for these sorts of things.

Really interested to see how it all pans out though - if Modern becomes absolutely dominant and Capcom are cool with it, SF7 might not even have Classic.

There's no way Capcom would ever fully get rid of classic. The backlash from that would undo all of the good will they've built up lol

Still unknown if Modern will be better or worse than Classic, and in what conditions. For the moment there are players in any level choosing one of the other. So accuse someone to be a 'beginner' because using Modern is really rash.

IN ANY CASE. Remember guys that this thread has been created around Luke being or not beginner friendly.

Here just my opinion:
- Ryu es quite beginner friendly.
- Luke is even easier to play.

Although I usually prefer simple characters, for the moment I prefer Ryu over look because he is cooler and nostalgia (nothing against Luke). Maybe I'll main some else later.

Loving Luke and he seems really beginner friendly, but hey to each his own.
