Ryu's crMK > hadoken Is NOT A True Block String
he was in such a better place in SFV, why revert back into mediocrity with this character? This sequence is interruptable with drive impact, which is crazy imo even while using the fierce version of the hadoken which is faster. This is gonna limit him a LOT.

Not to mention, why are we nerfing his stMP's range Capcom? What was wrong with the SFV version of it? Comparing him to Luke, it's a no brainer who's better. Nerfed range and block string Ryu, verse a character that has medium buttons that move him forward.

stMP's range being gutted is a bit strange considering Luke's crMK moves him forward on top of him having great range on that already. Luke's stMP is also leagues better.

All block strings are 'nerfed'. Start the string and then counter their drive impact with your own. Fighting games 101.

It was never a block string, that's the whole point.
SF6 Ryu is 10x stronger than he is in SFV. Drive system fits him way better than the V-system did

As for cr. MK xx fireball, it wasn't real in SFV either. Or SF4. No human opponent is going to punish it 100% of the time. You have to be spacing it.

P.S. Ryu's range is way better here than in SFV. Range of normals is bigger across the board, sure, but way less of Ryu's kit whiffs like it did in SFV

it adds a mental game... it might even be beneficial. bait the drive rush and punish it for big damage. this game has a way heavier mental stack, you have alot more options at any moment.
