I don't understand Capcom's obsession with hip-hop-hip/rap thing, without even a little electronic motives, that elevates flow and speed of the fighting.

Thankfully Tekken 8 sounds good in that regard, hope they'll stick with that up to launch.

Tekken has done high speed EDM/dubstep for the last 3 entries and doesnt seem to have moved on at all with Tekken 8.

I don't get it nothing wrong with the music. If you aren't playing World Tour, the stage music for the 1v1 map is awesome. Hip Hop makes sense in World Tour starting area since it's suppose to replicate the feel of NYC and that's Hip-Hop or Rap. I'd assume other areas of World Tour will have music that represents those locations.

Sf6 music doesn't deserve to mentioned I'm the same sentence as. Street Fighter 3 music. Hip Hop can be great, most rap is awful. It's not all the same. Sf6 doesn't have a single good track I've heard yet. Guile's theme in sf6 is proof Capcom is trolling us.

yeah id agree the SF 6 music is okay, but its not even in the same league as sf 3 which I guess its trying to imitate.
I do respect capcom trying to do something new vs redoing the SF 2 songs for the 200th time though. I just dont know if this is it.

I'm somewhere between the two of you. There's plenty of fighting game music I don't like. I'm old and have grown to accept I'll never be able to enjoy the vast majority of modern music. I just mute the music and go on my way. I'm too old to get upset about it anymore.

But Jazz is my favorite genre, so I'm definitely with you as far as lots of other fighting games. Though I listen to classical jazz, the jazzy/funky/fusion pieces in MvC2's soundtrack and a lot of anime fighters are pretty good.
