For SF4 stuff, Drive Rush is functionally similar to FADC. Drive Impact is closest to Focus Attacks
For SFV stuff, crush counters have been reworked into punish counters. Drive Reversals really come from Alpha Counters but functionally, it's way closer to V-Reversals. A lot of V-Triggers and V-Skills have now been worked into characters' regular kit (i.e. Guile's VT1 is now his lvl 2 super)
For less obvious stuff that carried over from SFV: input buffer seems to be similar to SFV. If not, it's still bigger than SF4. With normal dashes being slower, raw Drive Rush into a normal is the closest thing to SFV's dash up pressure. If the opponent is in burnout, block pressure becomes almost exactly like SFV
And for your last question, no you can't, at least not for strikes. Damage scaling would make a DR combo not worth it there anyway. It should work after perfect parrying a projectile but your screen position needs to be considered, raw DR is still reactable
Maximilian Dood has said "This feels nothing like SF5. In fact, if you really really loved SF5, you will probably not enjoy SF6".
So you're probably good, lol.
As for the rest of the stuff, I think I can answer it, having played in the Second Beta.
Focus Attack Dash Cancel?
They kinda have that now, as Drive Rush. If you're Parrying, or mid-combo, you can dash forward a pretty decent amount.
It consumes a bunch of your Drive to do (especially the mid-combo version, it takes half the meter), but it can be pretty terrifying when used correctly.
Parry is now SUPER easy to do (literally just hold down Mid Punch and Mid Kick), but it consumes a resource if you parry and nothing happens.
A Perfect Parry (Timed with the attack) acts more like a SF3 parry, and lets you follow up pretty easily with something strong.
You mostly use Parry to block incoming mixups, or to regain your Drive Meter (successful parries charge it up).
In my experience with the Beta, it doesn't make projectiles "useless". It just makes them WAY less safe. Gone are the days of Ryu spamming Hadokens across the screen and forcing you to jump approach him, basically.
There's also Drive Impact now, which acts a lot more like an un-cancellable Focus Attack, and if you land it right, it leaves the opponent EXTREMELY open to damage. It can even wallsplat on a block, making the corner VERY dangerous to be in.
wow super nice
Absolutely HATED SFV, LTG was right SFV was never street fighter it was designed by a guilty gear player and it was always just awful.
Even maximilian could never bring himself to play SFV cause it was soo bad and awful how horrible V trigger mechanics worked or the fact that everything in that game sucked down to the music and sound effects and artstyle
I am so happy SF6 is so much more closer to SF4 now this is a dream come true.
Glad capcom is going back to their roots with SF4 style.
Looking forward to beating and getting blocked by LTG again in SF6
Good god that abomination SFV is finally over. Glad they make up better this time on SFVI after SFV dumbster fire gameplay mechanic
yeah SFV was mad trash everything about it the artstyle the poor details the awful sound / music and the god awful horrible V Trigger mechanic.
Thank god SF6 is returning to SF4 roots
yeah I want the under boob crop top laura to return
