Why does matchmaking take forever?

Finding someone around my skill level in the battle lobbies is stupidly difficult (not to mention most open cabs actually already have two players) and it takes me over half an hour to find a casual or ranked match. Then it either ends in an error or i accidentally press one of the 17 buttons that cancels mm. How did they actually manage to make this experience worse than SFV's?

Do you have the connection filter set to to 5 only, or have crossplay turned off? The netcode in 6 is quite good, and you should get plenty of matches if you set it to 4-5 instead of just 5.

Probably because half of us can't even login to the game because Capcom are apparently incompetent when it comes to netcodes and online play. I haven't been able to login at all today.

Check default settings with any connection, no confirm and with crossplay on. I get fights in less than 10 seconds. Fastest I’ve ever seen in any fighting game.

Some say there is some issues with region lock but I’m not sure how big of a deal it is. Where do you live?

US and I'm playing in US lobbies. The game keeps trying to automatically sort me into Europe and Asia, though.

In Japan and Europe this problem does not exist, hearing it a lot from players in the US and Canada though. It's an understandable oversight, should be fixed nonetheless of course

Region-locking bullcrap.
Japan doesn't realize that not everybody lives in a high population density.
Region lock works great for Europe, Japan, New England, California...

Not so good for New Zealand, Iceland, Atlantic Canada, Hawaii, etc

It takes me 10+ minutes to find a match at night

It is IMPOSSIBLE to find a match in the day.
