I like to think back to a couple days ago where that one guy was whining about Lily and saying how she was definitely going to get nerfed, and he was blacklisting anyone that played her. I think about that and laugh.

she is weak but she is also extremely annoying to play against and cheap regardless of her placing on the tierlist

I like the tierlist. I do think the same about JP. Not S-Tier but very very good. Too many matchups who arent good for him. He is a scrub killer, still. Thats why crying about him wont stop

what's this tierlist mean? that with perfectly played characters, this is the breakdown of wins/losses?

or are they just listing their favorite characters?

how strong each character is at a pro level of play (currently), like he mentions that chun SHOULD be A tier or higher but based on performance of various chun players he put her lower but in theory she could be higher once optimized

Pros mostly judge based on favorable match-ups. For example the argument for Luke has been the same as SFV: his kit has answers for every single situation. He does good against projectiles, he can close the gap, has good damage, good buttons etc. Same goes for Guile.

When was Lily considered the best ever? The first reaction I saw to Lily is that she's a worse T-hawk (which seems like a fair but kinda bad comparison; Lily is much more mobile as far as I can see). I think you're confusing her with Kimberly. Lily was never considered good.

Also it's hilarious but also kind-of bad to see Honda in A. Such an absolute chore of a character to fight against imo. Every game against Honda is them deciding the pace of the game, similar to JP - but at least JP gets clobbered once the gap is closed.

lily has been the worst since day 1 but she is pretty good against noobs and with modern controls

That's not Bronze level tier list.

At low level, Honda, Blanka, Lily are a nightmare to handle.

No way a noob with handle Butt Slam into 2LP / grab mixups, and no way they will handle Wind Clad Condor Spire into 2LP / grab mixups either

Blanka just needs to roll all day ...

That tier list is for people that have a clue, meaning you're fine with skipping it entirely.

Lily is good for beginners because she is simple, poke, get wind off of poke, spire in, command grab or frametrap them. But she does all this stuff to get wind stock just to get an advancing special move that leaves her plus. Meanwhile EVERYONE in the game can pretty much do the exact same thing by using drive rush anyway. Also so many of her moves die to DI so a big part of the game just becomes baiting out DI and it just doesn't feel too good.
