World Tour low FPS with high end PC - what the hell is going on?
My specs: Ryzen R7 5800x, RTX 4070-TI, 32GB RAM, 1440P Monitor

I only get around 30 - 50 FPS most of the time in world tour and when there are random fights it is almost always at 25 - 40 FPS.

1. I have the perfect settings, FPS limiter disbled etc, so thats not an issue

2. I have tried switching between the LOWEST graphical settings and the highest...it literally makes NO difference - the FPS stay the same, NO improvement at all - where is the logic behind that!?

3. I used a PC monitoring software and with max settings, the game only consumes around 30-40% of what my graphics card is capable of, so I guess the game does not even use the full power my card has to offer

4. I saw gameplays with 100+ FPS with the Beta version.

How is this possible? Does the new crack protection "Denuvo" have something to do with this? Is there any way to fix this?

Are you loading shaders at game startup? Go to options, game, other settings, shader warming on starup.

My specs are not as high and the game runs very smooth for me.

it was turned off, i activated it now, let it compile, but the game still runs like sh!t as before...still thanks for the advice though

Only other suggestion I have is that your drivers are up to date? But that should not tank the game that much.

WT wasn't optimized all that well. Try turning down "Shadows", turing off "V-sync" and lowering internal resolution.

I have i9-9900k, RTX 3070 and run the game on 3440x1440 (well it doesn't support ultrawide so whatever the normal version of 2k is), everything on full except bloom / film grain / the usual "make it look worse but take a performance impact doing so" stuff disabled, and runs smooth as butter. I once had frame hiccups on Nayshall beach but otherwise no issues. So it might be something else in your system?

I had to turn down some graphic options too. The game didn't stutter but went to slow-motion during fights at certain parts on the map.

It's a bug caused by the flags at the E Honda place:

After some experimentation, I've discovered that the World Tour frame rate issues around China Town and West Metro City seem to be caused by Chanko House Edomon.

The moment you step close enough to it for all the objects around the building to spawn, it causes a massive CPU bottleneck that tanks the frame rate. From about 70fps to 40fps on a Ryzen 5 1600 + GTX 1080.

My best guess is it's caused by physics calculations for the mass of flags and lanterns out front, which makes me wonder if framerate issues in other places can also be attributed to an overabundance of flags or other physics objects.

Two screenshots taken at low quality graphics settings with Max FPS at 120.

1. Standing just outside the range of the chanko house.
2. After taking a step forwards to make all the chanko house flags spawn in.
Also note the huge drop in GPU usage, indicating that the problem is on the CPU.

if you are not having this problem you probably have a really fast CPU.

Yep, that's it exactly, just tested it. I knew it was around that area somewhere, in the beginning of world tour everything was fine until I got to that area. Fingers crossed they'll fix this quickly.

lmao i can play all recent games maxed out with really high framerates...my 4070ti is 30% faster than my previous rtx 3080...its the second best card if you dont take the rtx 4090 in account...but that card is just overkill and the xx90 series is not around for too long...it is completely unnecessary and only worth it if you play at 4k or 8k
