MK1, SF6 & the woke mind virus

2) I have not heard one concise argument on how anything in either SF6 or MK1 is woke. Eternity is just a character (and probably an agent of the in-game Illuminati reporting to Gill). MK1 is... well, it's Mortal Kombat to the kore.

It's because the MK community for a while now hasn't liked the redesigns of the female characters since MKX. They consider their redesigns to be woke.

When they see the SF6 characters they see a variety of body types and shapes or namely female characters with big thighs, big butts, etc. They see something in SF6 that MK1 lacks in it's character designs.

That's what the MK1 community is focused on and has been since MKX. They're not looking at stuff like Eternity or other things that people consider woke about SF6 but instead are looking at SF6 from more of a surface level.

Surely there's gotta be a better metric for what makes a game good or not? Everything is woke now, because it's an easy grift to get you lots of attention from clueless people who believe everything they're told.

To me what really happened with the female MK redesigns wasn't them being "woke" so much as the design team started giving their redesigns more attention.

If you look at PS2 era of games it's obvious that the male characters really got the attention when it came to their redesigns and makeovers. Go back to Deadly Alliance and look at how Sub Zero and Scorpion's designs got updated from MK4 and then look at Kitana's DA design and it's the most boring thing, especially by comparison.

When they got to MKX it felt like they started giving the female characters more detailed or ornate looks compared to their classic looks and I don't think it had anything to do with wokeness but rather trying to bring them more in line with the male character redesigns.

John Tobias designed most of the MK1-MK4 characters. Tobias used to be a comic book artist and when you know that and see his art of those characters from back in the day it becomes pretty obvious that many of the female characters look like comic book characters or are wearing super hero or super villain outfits. I mean just look at the original artwork for Kitana and Sindel and it wouldn't be hard to imagine them in a 90s comic like Wildcats.

I think with MKX they really tried to make an effort to move away from that comic bookish look and style that the female characters had for so long but they really should have started doing that in the PS2 era when they were doing that with the male characters because by the time it finally happened people didn't or couldn't understand why it was happening all of a sudden and just started blaming it on wokeness.

SF6 has a lot of wokeness but it also has some anti-wokeness, which is funny.

The sexy skins is basically a middle finger to specific wokeness and in that department they have a lot more balls than MK.

MK is actually hilarious when you think about it. In the game you brutally kill your enemies in extreme details yet the devs are afraid to show some female skin and they make their women ugly. While keeping the men looking like Greek Gods and making them half naked. Oh the double standards of the west.

Tekken 8 is the only new fighting game with 0 wokeness. Harada is awesome.

Most of them yeah. They aren't dressing them like strippers who jump out of birthday cakes. The very clear incels took offense to that. Most of which have anime profile pictures ironically enough.
