Tip if you're having trouble with drive rush cancels (e.g. it's hard to cancel crouching medium kick into drive rush)
If you go into settings in the multi menu and go to battle controls, you can turn on negative edge (labeled as button release input). This makes it so you can do special moves by releasing the button as well as pressing it, but also seems to make it substantially easier to do drive rush cancels. I don't entirely know why (maybe it's because it now counts the end of the first forward input as the start of the dash input?), and maybe it's a placebo effect, but as soon as I turned it on it I was doing the drive rush cancel I was trying to do much more consistently. This might have some other side effects from what I heard, so do it with caution, but in this aspect at least it seems to help a ton.

Cool. Does this work with all control modes, though?

I love you for this c67f omg. Been struggling with this for days and this DOES WORK. I'm on stick. Went from 1 in 5 successful training mode drive rush cancels to 5 in 5. This is going to up my game significantly.

I have no clue why this works but it does!

This should simply be a feature that's always on.

Wait they took out negative edge and then made it a setting?? Interesting, I assumed it would be on by default if it was even a setting (which is brand new)

Damn, I didn't even see this!

Makes blocking overheads harder unless you're using the SOCD method though
I suppose you can and should just parry them instead really
