Being able to cancel chains into Drive Impact is pure BS
- Opponent jumps and does a series of combos I surprise him with a Drive Impact
- He messes up and lands a two-hit combo instead of dodging
- My drive impact absorbs both hits Gotcha (not really)
- He then effortlessly soft-cancels/chains into a counter-drive impact
- I get rekt for successfully pulling off a counter-attack

Man, I love having been around so long, that I can remember when Capcom "ruined" SF with Street fighter 3.
What is matchup knowledge, player matchup, and conditioning. Kinda funny to hear people complain about a mechanic "dumbing down" gameplay when they themselves refuse to adapt and keep eating the same thing.

Every fighting game series, every new release, it's the same ♥♥♥♥.

But the best part is when the old game, you know the one they hated so much, that was so "ruined", is then held up as "Why can't they do it correctly like this? Just one more time! You had it already!"

- The other guy hits a negative button, I need to watch out for a random DI when I start punishing.

- I space out a heavy button, I have to watch out for a random DI.

Drive rush is almost impossible to react to, especially against characters like Juri.
it might get better athigh level play, i know noobs love to spam it, but i think we all knew they were going to spam it. jsut lern to bait it out then punish

Raw DI is pointless, it pushes the opponent back, and the attacker has to DR for a mix up, by then the opponent has already recovered. As someone said earlier, DI should be for corner pressure. I rarely use DI unless it's to counter a DI then it's free damage for me.

this is why i am not really taking the game serious and just play avatar battle. hopefully future patches adress some of the concerns i have with the game.

i got input problem, ill input DP and get level 1 super always... and ill input chun air legs and get air spd lol something isnt right atm and alot of people are complaining about inputs being off. so its prob some issue they gotta fix.

as for drive rush, its annoying for me personally, gonna wait and see if they change it somehow or learn how to play better i guess.

Don't use DI? It's bad.

how is DI bad its the best thing to secure a win in the worst situations. if you know the strings you can easily guard f, then rush into a fast low, low, then drive rush when they try to attempt their own drive rush or attack.

stop mashing buttons, that being effective is what's cheap, if you are getting hit with drive impact its because you are doing the same thing over and over again, and are too predictable, that cheese worked in V not this game
