Any way to Make Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Pro hubs, Capcom?
I've been trying to learn the game on classic, I am a beginner. It's hard to get good and people saying that "You just need to get good" are mainly just being jerks that like to trash talk. Also, one does not just get good quickly, it takes time, especially in hub if you're up against veterans in the first place.

For example, As a beginner, all that have been challenging me have been platinum players that just camp/farm me then trash talk me for not knowing what I'm doing, when all I've been doing is just trying to learn and have fun.

You probably are going to say "Go to training, learn the skills and do the combos right." Well I have been doing so. Training in a training room against a CPU is 10x easier than fighting a live player, which still puts me at a tremendous disadvantage.

Not to mention, I've been called Garbage, for being a new player, some people have been telling me to quit, go back to M.K. 11, which I've not even played, I've been told to not even try and leave it to the pros and other things that discourage me to play the game and like it like these people like the game.

Which brings me to the topic, to stop "Vets' and "Elite players" from pooping on new/fresh player's fun that just want to get into the game.

IDK about the hubs ever happening man. So seriously, Just git gud, everyone sucks at first. Just start off with a couple of combos. Do them 100 times in a row in every direction in training. If you mess up, go back to the last 10th. Then you can settle to practicing every combo you know every day for 10 times in each direction and if you mess up 2 times in one combo practice, restart that said combo practice in the appropriate direction. Figure out which combo is best for which situation by looking at frame data, damage etc. Stay using those combos for about a week applying them appropriately. Every week or 2 add one new combo. If inputs are hard, try getting a different controller. I swapped from ps4, xbox controller to a fight stick and noticed inputs being easier and thumbs not getting irritated from all the rubbing.

maybe it's not about the getting good aspect for him, but maybe he just wants to play with other people who don't take it so seriously.

Hubs have been hit or miss for me, I learned more in ranked by just fighting people of my skill level, I have been playing pretty actively the last few days and every day I see myself improving. Learning punishes, bread and butter combos, when to use DI, how to not get dogged in neutral. It comes with time and practice.

Just play ranked, hubs have no skill based matchmaking anybody can just up to a cab and challenge you. Playing ranked puts you on a skill level you belong. If you're new when you first do your placements go for beginner. I have no clue why new players are so afraid of rank if you get placed where you actually belong and fight players as bad as you there's no harm and you get better along the way too.

There's no skill based match making in battle hub to my understanding. You need to stick to ranked mode for that. From the main menu go to the right menu (fighting ground) and turn on ranked matches (I'm not sure if casual has skill based matchmaking or not). That's pretty much exclusively what I play besides World Tour. I still lose more than I win, but it's been a much more pleasant experience than just getting blown up every round by platinums.

The point of the hub is to socialise with new people regardless of skill, its casual mode with a interactable lobby. While I do see why you would want this kind of feature, once the game loses its hype & the player count normalise's, having hubs be separated based on rank would just create quiet / empty hubs

Well, beginners hubs are a thing in the game, it's the ones with the bird icon

It's online hazing. I do support casual play being more league/rank based, no reason at a high rank needs to practice a character with a freshie/noob that just started playing.

that is not considered casual play when you start considering skill / playtime, thats skill based which is what ranked is.

Actually now that I think of it, you don't have to go to fighting grounds to turn on ranked. From the Battle Hub pull up the Multi Menu (tab on PC) then go to Profile and press R to open Battle Settings. Go to Matchmaking and turn on Ranked Mode search. That way you can still hang out in the Battle Hub and show off your avatar while looking for good matches.

I assume you can also do this from World Tour. I don't know why you would though since you'd never have time to complete anything in game.

As hard as it may be to do, just forget about those trash talkers and move on. And don't even give them the satisfaction by replying ro them.

You should bounce back and forth between ranked and hub. I assume you go to the hub because of the avatar and lobby aspect, but. There's no skill filter. You could match up with a beginner or someone that's been playing for years.

If you play ranked and lose for a while, the game will start matching you up with people who are going through the same thing and vice versa. It's a great system for matching up with players around your skill level. And you can even be in training mode or other things while it's searching for opponents. You'll be able to tell what you can and can't do by the message on the bottom of the screen that will say "searching" or "paused".

Well, for me as a diamond guile, what other reason would I want to play another character against someone else outside my league? I haven't, and when I'm ready with JP I will jump directly into ranked. There is no good reason not to unless I want cheap wins, and that's scrub behavior.

that's a personal take, not everyone only main's their best guy & only cares for wins, that kind of mentality is where I would to say to stay in ranked.

Play casual matches and if you ENJOY fighting one add the player to your flist and fight him. Dont add players below your skill.

You have to enjoy fighting even if you lose, thats the key.

I didn't even know you can choose between different hubs. Thought it was all just one hub. How do you even pick different ones?
