DC on loss in ranked

I had someone DC during my super that would have won the set in ranked and it didn't give me the win. Why does the game reward people for alt f4ing when they are losing a ranked match?

Edit: I now know about the penalty system for disconnecting, it sucks to have someone rage quit on you but I'm glad there is something in place to punish them for it.

This is something every fighter has suffered. That's why it's called a "rage quit" the goal is to deny you the reward. but i think people are punished for it on this game. but no, they aren't rewarded.

Maybe rewarded wasn't the right word but if I didn't gain LP then I assume he didn't lose LP, hopefully there is some kind of punishment for this behavior or people will just rage quit so they don't lose LP

Ita actually not rewarding then persay, if they do it 6 times they get a yellow card wich means they can only match up with yellow cards. Hindering there ability to play at all. Amd if they continue to do it theyll get a red card, witch can lead to temperary bans etc. To get rid of the cards they have to play a certain amout of matches without dosconnecting

U kniw if they have a card itll be on there gamer tag before game starts. Its small but ull see a little hand holding a yellow card. If u google it y can prob find pic. Or type in yellow card in steam discussion search itll pop up

That makes sense, I'm glad there is a system in place to deter people from doing it. It sucks to get a hard earned win and not have it count but at least I know he paid for it in some way

I don't get why people always enjoy punishing others for whatever reason. Consequences for leaving, sure, but isn't it far more important to give the win to whoever deserves it than reveling in some punishment? The game knows who disconnected. It should always award a win to for the real victor.

I also seriously don't think people quit to play the ranks, you have quitters in every game and in most they win nothing from doing it, and only get punished (often severely). Calculative people don't quit. Emotional ones do. They do it because they're frustrated. And while I haven't quit a single match yet, it's easy to see how frustrating it can get when you get the 20:th match in a row where you're beaten so hard you can't even play the game. xD

If you disconnect a lot you get branded as well. just be sure to put on match acceptance so you can just reject losers who rage quit.

I feel this, if they DC then the win should be awarded to the player who is left in the match imo

It's ok to leave it f they lay certain heroes like akuma. If you play akuma your u don't deserve wins. Ever.

this doesn't help since it didn't show name on match acceptance;just block the rage quitter and move on

While you get no points, the DCer gets penalty in rank points on top of yellow or red card depending how often they do it. It was worse on launch as you lost points as well.
