Give VPN a shot. It works well now.
Do you think i'm the only one who have problems with region locked matchmaking while having good wired optical ethernet?) Capcom fixed the communication errors, but matchmaking issue still exists. I don't want to wait 10-15 minuites to find one match to play, when i have 110 ping with europe, where matchmaking works. Due to good netcode adding 20-30 latency with VPN isn't a problem.
and are you trying to say that 110ms of lag is GOOD? thats insane! anything over or approaching 100ms is in danger territorty. but again, lag isnt the only issue.
Oh, ok. Before Capcom shutdowned servers i saw some reports about "matchmaking issue" from Ireland and Belgium. In this thread we see Canadian man who can't play with USA. Central and South America can't play with USA too. Australian man in this thread too. CIS region can't play with Europe and should play with Chinese with much worse ping even without VPN. And there are only a couple of players who reported here about issue. Are all of them have bad ethernet? Of course no. Should we say sorry to you and drop the game because you said we should be banned for using VPN and you think we live in bad countries? Of course no, we should mirror your "gtfo" in your face. We don't have any choice.
I understood your "PROTIP". However, i can play other matchmaking-based games without any problems, with working search, with same matchmaking speed as people from countries with "excellent internet that doesn't drop so many packets at online games which playable for them". Everybody who has broken matchmaking in SF can prove that they can play other games. It's not a packet dropping issue. It's just some kind of mistake in matchmaking algorithm i think.
Also don't know what sugar dream country are you from that 100 ping is almost unplayable. 180-200 is unplayable for the half of the world gamers in most online games. And even that ping in SF6 or GGS is not so bad due to rollback.
This netcode is a joke.
And even on expressvpn (fastest vpn, I don't lose any ping) matches take much longer to find than on MK11 or T7, where I literally find matches in few seconds after hitting the search button.
Sf6 by far has the most garbage netcode I ever experienced in a fighting game.
ok boomer. learn how computers work at the basic level then come back.
Ok sir. Imagine i'll learn. What are my next steps? Should i relocate from my country and stop using VPN? :) Because actual knowledge about basic CS won't help me with 10-15 minitues matchmaking in this game, while other online games have no issues at all. Should we all relocate from Australia/Canada to the USA, from Georgia to the heart of Europe just to find matches in 15-20 secs?
Or is it easier for us to use VPN with subscription, connect to German server for example and enjoy damn game with +20 latency? The choice is obvious.
I can't understand, firstly, what are you doing in this thread if you don't have any problems. I'm here to find maybe somebody have another solutions without VPN or offer people my variant. What about you?
And secondly, why are you answering only me shouting about computer knowledge and aren't seeing the issue reports above or in simillar threads? The guy above said straightly that Canadian local discord is full enough of reports with matchmaking problems. Yeah, relocate from Canada bois..
