Modern controls ruins SF6

Seriously. I have ZERO respect for anyone that can't do these simple ass inputs and drive rush combos. Anyone can do these inputs with a whopping 20 minutes a day devoted to learning them.

I like using classic controls better than modern controls. The modern controls are for world tour which I tend to use, it's just that all attacks differ from punches to kicks. When we play Fighting Ground mode, it's best to use classic controls, no doubt.

Im playing with modern controls since I am playing with m+kb. I need to be able to alt tab during all the ingame cutscenes during ranked. I am almost gold now.

The only people who need to learn a whole different game are people who intend to use Modern control scheme, Classic mode still exists for people who want to play "normal sf" as you call it. I'm not sure how pointing out one of the main deficits of Modern controls helps make your point of it not being the same game, if anything, matches vs Modern players should be a free win for you.

Now that I'm learning Ryu on Modern (I play Classic on everyone else), I see people who think Modern controls spells doom for this game as having 0 clue what they're talking about. Anything besides automated combos require sequences of inputs just like Classic combos. Advanced Modern combos often incorporate actual QCF/B/DP/HCB/F inputs.

Instant specials are a problem and should be adjusted somehow. For lv3 auto-combos, they're mostly a problem in lower ranks because everyone down there is always doing something wildly punishable. In higher ranks, Modern players are either doing custom advanced Modern combos (which are not too much less complex than Classic combos), or they're still doing the lv3 auto-combos which isn't a big deal because anyone up there can execute them, so it's not like they have a big advantage... I'm really not seeing the big deal.

Difference is that modern was intended while things like aimbot are against the rules.
plus modern still has downsides. For the ability to do make more reliable and easier inputs you are doing less damage, losing abilities and combo options. that are accessible to classic. Not to mention if you think modern is always that bad You can use it! Modern is a over all good addition the only people mad about it are those who practiced religiously on their character for the past 3+ street fighter games so they can consistently do inputs without fail

Better be playing Xrd Rev2 or +R then, because strive with motion controls is just as easy as sf6 on modern

homie, sticks arent an advantage, the reason stick players dominate the pro level is because those pros have been playing since the arcade days, or come from regions where arcades are still prevalent, its about comfort.

hibox does provide an advantage but its negligible and proves you dont know wtf youre talking about

modern is only annoying to fight against for low ranked players. if you're a good SF player or a veteran, you shouldn't be complaining. You can probably do specials and supers just as fast as them, you have way more control over your character and you deal more damage. Theres a reason why 99% of pro or high ranked players use classic. Hell, once you get above iron rank most players will be using classic, and the modern players are literally usually easier to fight against. you just suck.
