Ken seems a more aggressive close version of Ryu while Ryu is more patient and watching. Not sure of Luke, seems aggressive.

Ryu is a jack of all trades who can do everything, but doesn't particularly excel at one specific thing like other characters do. Ryu does however focus on a more patient and opportunistic style, with short but decently powerful combos and special moves. Unique to Ryu is the Denjin Renki, a special move that enhances his Hadoken and Hashogeki specials. Ryu's general gameplan is to use his good normals and Hadoken to control space, stock a Denjin Renki when he has the chance, and cash out for a damaging combo when he sees an opening. Pick Ryu if you want an all-rounder who likes to look for his openings and make every strike count.

Ken focuses more on rushdown than Ryu. His Quick Dash lets him move quickly across the screen and from it he can quickly stop, go for an overhead, or go for a long range front kick, and his Shoryuken, Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, and Dragonlash Kick become enhanced if performed during Quick Dash. His Jinrai Kyaku are a series of kicks with three different followups, with Light giving you a low attack, Medium giving you an overhead, and Heavy giving you a mid. He's more combo oriented than Ryu, having many similar moves but done in a more stylish and offense oriented way. Ken's general gameplan is to put the pressure on his opponent and mix them up with his run and Jinrai Kyaku and to push his opponent towards the corner where his mixups and combos become even deadlier. Pick Ken if you want a stylish and offensive powerhouse.

Lastly, Luke is another all-rounder similar to Ryu but played somewhat differently. Besides his fireball and Rising Uppercut, what differentiates Luke from Ryu is his other special moves. Luke's Flash Knuckles are three different punches that are enhanced when you hold down the button in exchange for longer startup, and they have a sweet spot where you get an even better version of the move if you let go of the button at just the right time. Luke also has a variety of easy to use "Target Combos" that allow for easy combos and confirms. He does good damage for low resource cost if you can master his Flash Knuckle charging and can work at both beginner and pro levels of play. Pick Luke if you want a more technical all-rounder with a focus on precise timing.

Ryu has better specials but Luke's fighting style has so many switch ups that the ai cant handle put up a good defense. In world tour use Luke stance with a hadouken
