How beginner friendly is the online multiplayer?

Hey complete newbie to street fighter or any fighting game. Is the Multiplayer good balanced so i can compete with other noobs? Or is the multiplayer " get gud or know your place "

Don't buy the game, it has region locked matchmaking and you WILL fight the same 5 people over and over until you go crazy.

is it really tho? I have any bar set, and I get people with 300+ plus ping with japan and china flags so I assumed I'm playing people around the world

Honestly idk. Next time I run into someone with china/jp flag I'll try adding them to ask lol. Hard to ask tho kuz you can only msg them in battle hub. On Capcom's website for the BETA however it says "Can you play against players in different regions? Yes!" but they don't specify if its for ranked, or if they were saying yes meaning battle hub

Ya i know u can choose ur flag but low ping pretty much sais they are far away so idk.

I'm on the cusp of platinum. What are you talking about? You can change the settings to 1 bar (if you really want) and play people in Japan and China too. Played a Zangief in China and the connection was actually stable and good despite being 1 bar.

if you lose all 10 ranked placement matches you will be in iron rank where people don't know how to play the game whatsoever

Bruh I won 6/10 and got placed iron so idk anymore

after several hours fight in BH i can say,
you are often matched against more higher level achieved players which makes it very frustrating, because this daily mission is just a grind with more losses than wins.
maybe i am too old for this stuff.
but compared to a fps, here is no factor of luck (except the matching)
to get a win for the challenge.

"a fps" is a very weird comparison. Also there is a severe luck factor involved in the match-ups.

If you're playing something like Luke then yea: bad-luck doesn't exist. But if you play something like Zangief and you have to play against JP then well... good luck.
