mfplat.dll not found, game can't even launch

Hey, I just got the game, it's not launching. I verified, I reinstalled, I run as administrator. Not working. When I launch it, it just says "This application failed to start because mfplat.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Any clues? anyone faced this problem?

Pretty sure the game uses some standard windows codec stuff for video playback.

To install it go to apps & features > optional features and enable windows media feature pack if its in the list.

Ty for the tip. I did try this, but it said that the media feature pack couldn't be installed, however, and the problem persists. Any other options?
