Street Fighter™ 6
Can't press the same attack types and move at the same time
Hello I just bought a new keyboard off amazon named the GEODMAER 65% wireless keyboard and are having issues with it. For example, I can press all three punch moves and the game will recognize my movements. But if i press light punch and kick, medium punch and kick, or heavy punch and kick, i cannot move. If i parry and try to dash forward to do a drive rush i cannont do so because the game says i am in neutral. Is there any option i can do to fix this or do i have to buy another keyboard.

some keyboards aren't designed well for games and have issues with multiple simultaneous keys being pressed.
its related to the pcb inside the keyboard itself there's no fixing it.
based on the PCB design some keys will send signals over the same bus, which means they share the input so if one key is already held the other will be unresponsive.

Hm, the keyboard seems to be mechanical and is described as anti-ghosting, so I would assume this shouldn't be happening. Does it come with any kind of software? Maybe you should try searching for something like that on producer's site.

Some functions might not work as well without that.

Well, I'm using a membrane keyboard, though a different one, so that shouldn't make a difference. As long as it's not analogue.

yeh it is advertised as anti ghosting. but for 20$ im not entirely shocked that it seems like its a 2-key rollover board. (that is technically anti ghosting for 2 keys so typing works well)
you might be able to find software to configure it differently but i wouldn't hold my breath

could also just be a dud.
you could try remapping the buttons to different keys on the board to see if the problem persists.
might just be your current particular selection of keys that's sharing the bus inputs.
Sounds like ghosting. You can use this[drakeirving.github.io] to test things out.

I also suggest mapping certain button combinations to their own keys.

this will let you see how many simultaneous keys your keyboard is registering

if its 2 like i assume that is technically still anti ghosting (for 2 keys) but its cheap and not ideal for games. more of a simple typing board :P

N-key rollover (N) can be any number standing for how many keys can be pressed at once. most gaming boards are generally 6
generally excludes ctrl, alt, shift, escape ect as they are normally separate so they always work

After testing some things out i have figured out the problem thanks to your guys help. I can only hold down 3-5 keys at a time (i can hold 3 -5 keys at a time it depends on what keys i am pressing and is very inconsistent) But if i hold down the U and J, I and K, or O and L keys and try to move it wont register. (these are the keys i use to input my attack moves) So this is a problem with this keyboard smh. Does anybody knows a good 60/65% keyboard that is wired or wireless?
not a budget keyboard but ive had this for years at this point (space grey). and i love it.
it is seemingly on sale atm.

its super solid with its very heavy CNC-aluminum block body... things a weapon lol... also has hot swap switches so you can just replace them if they wear out.

bought it cos i was sick of getting semi decent keyboards then needing to replace the whole thing when a key died.
ill be using this thing for the next 20 years replacing switches when needed :P

might want someone else to recommend you a more budget friendly option though :)

previous keyboard but no longer available.
i actually really liked having the F-keys being directly in line with the number keys. was awesome fro gaming till the switches died.
