I've always used a stick, and even though I know I'd be better with a stick in this game, I've been using a PS5 controller because I can kick back and play vs having to bring a chair out and all that to set up my stick.
Even if I could do better with a different controller choice, I would rather stay where I am on stick I get maximum enjoyment from than climb the ranks with a different controller type.
No one else will be able to tell you how much you enjoy stick, but if you're playing Classic, you can likely take your preference from SF5 and apply it to SF6.
I have a custom-made hitbox, and it's really enjoyable to use.
Mayflash gets really polarised reviews. I've owned an F300 and now an F500 Elite, and something feels a little clunky about the sticks? But it is heavy and feels durable, so my feelings towards it are not at all overall negative.
Compared to leverless, it does feel slower.
If you enjoyed american arcades, get an american styled arcade stick....
