You're totally obsessed. Macros are things imposed by players outside the rules of the game. Modern is a built-in control scheme implemented by the people who made the game. At this point you are imposing your own rules on the game. That is something children do when they don't like the rules set out for them by adults.

Actually I think more and more people are realizing what many of us knew from the beginning, that Modern controls aren't a big deal. Evo was just a big example of why thats the case.

HItani made quite a few good hit during evo but the damage is really lackluster.

You actually did not ask about Evo. You are shifting goal posts. But even then, I recall he was top 20 in either 2018 or 2019 in SF5 and likely had strong showings in other recent Evos. Even without that his numerous top 8 showings in Majors against super strong competition shows that he's just a godlike player and shows why he's considered one of the 5 gods of Japanese Street Fighter. I know you're just now learning about top level tournaments in an attempt to back up your crappy arguments but Evo is not the only tournament that matters, buddy. Far from it.
