The penalty for disconnecting is unfair

I could be winning a match, but then suddenly disconnect, resulting in losing LP equivalent to 2 entire match losses, even though I only disconnected from 1. On top of that, I get a yellow card that makes me wait 5-10 minutes just to get into one match.

Do they not have the technology to give the penalty only if the game detects your purposely left the match mid fight?

I don't think the game takes away points if you disconnected due to internet issues or otherwise. I have been disconnected from fights before (taken back to the Fighting Ground menu) and didn't lose points.

On the other hand, if you alt+f4, then you lose points. From what I have heard, yellow cards are given to frequent rage quitting (alt+f4) or other means for closing the game. No game will give you such punishment for disconnecting from 1 game.

Yellow card? For one single disconnect? Sounds like a lie. I had more than five disconnects in a week due to internet problems, but I didn't get any yellow cards.
Obviously, you're always leaving matches because of rage.

Well not for one. The current yellow card I have was given after 2 disconnects. I should probably mentioned that since the release of SF6, I've gotten the yellow card probably at least 10 times from the sheer amount of disconnects my bad internet causes. In one week I can disconnect probably up to 30 times. I have never rage quitted once.

Yes but how come I lose two losses worth of LP from one match where I'm winning? If I was losing the match I'd accept it cuz I'd probably have lost anyway without the disconnect, but penalties for a winning match? Just doesn't seem right.

Maybe it will sound harsh but if there is a problem on your side and it spoils the experience for others then there should be some consequences. This should be a motivation to fix your connection.

You get a yellow card only if you disconnect multiple times in a row. You can disconnect every second game and no yellow cards.

I've had it "fixed" several times and even upgraded by the company. And though it's made it faster, it has never gotten rid of the random on and offs or whatever its called. Maybe that's more of an Indonesia problem though not too sure.
