Taunts in SF6

I'm currently at, like, 400 matches played and only three opponents of mine used a taunt. Wack.

Because you can't cancel them AFAIK. You're just stuck in long animations.

Taunts should be cancellable. Little point in a taunt mechanic if no one is willing to use them... I'd even go as far as to integrate the taunts into gameplay:

- taunts are cancellable only with EX specials and supers
- taunts which are cancelled out of, incur a 25% Drive Gauge penalty (in addition to any DG used to cancel out of it)
- taunts which play out in full, drain the opponent's DG
- taunt DG drain is balanced according to length of the taunt (there seem to be three taunt lengths) -- i.e., the longer the taunt, the more DG it can potentially drain

One thing I was a little salty about is I thought for sure I'd be able to do Lily's camera taunt after making the opponent dizzy. But they fall down before she snaps the shot.

one of Chunli's taunt actually does the damage, its like she's is saying sorry pose and that hand KO the opponent from last drop of blood

Is there some kind of code regarding taunts?

A few days ago I played online, and I already lost nine matches, but in the tenth round I beat him or her for the first time. At the beginning of the next match/round he/she starts taunting me and I asked me, if he was cheering or spitting at me.

Is every taunt meant to be provocation?

Some are clear provocations, some could be considered more like an encouragement or a sigh. It's pity SF6 doesn't have bows like GGST does.

If you could cancel your taunts like you could in 4 I would use them way more. Right now there's nowhere you can really fit them in. Maybe if they're stunned.

That would be cool. Sometimes I want to give the other player a sign for ggs after the end.
But beside giving thumbs up, there isn't much more, and im not always hang around in the battle hub to write something in the chat.

Honestly, if Luke player DI'd me through my hadouken and then used the "hAdOuKeN" taunt, I would lose my ♥♥♥♥!
