Factually untrue for 3 reasons.
1) People IN Masters and Diamond say that they see Modern users unbelievably rarely, if at all. Case in point, Max himself in that very video says he hasn't seen any in a LONG time.
So there aren't 89 year old grandmas beating Diamond rank players. There's barely any modern control players IN diamond.
2) You ignore that the Fighting Game Fundamentals and game knowledge are the real core of the game, and that being able to throw out special moves without inputs is NOT.
It's the equivalent of training wheels. It makes it easier to bike without falling over, but you will NOT have the cardio or muscle power to keep up with a professional bike athlete
3) Case in point, I'm a Classic player with some grasp of the fundamentals. I'm currently Bronze 5, I think, and I'm winning slightly more often than I lose (So I'm probably gonna cap out around mid-silver at most)
If I, someone who knows the fundamentals of the genre somewhat, switch to Modern Controls, and I go up against a Platinum player (not even Diamond or Masters), I will get utterly destroyed, even with Modern controls.
Because high rank players understand frame data, how to bait people into frame traps, and how to perfectly execute long combos for 50% health that leave me in a state where I can very easily get hit with a mixup that leads to another 50% health combo.
I know this, because even though I have a VERY decent grasp on Marisa, I've only ever won like 2 ROUNDS against the Platinum level Kimberly at work. Never a single match. If I make a single mistake, I get put into a position where unless he makes a massive mistake, I'm going to instantly lose.
1 button special moves, a pretty weak auto-combo option and instant Super Arts aren't going to help me when one kimberly low kick can be converted into a long combo into a mixup into another long combo that leaves me dead and him laughing with 3 full Super Art bars.
So unless that 89 year old Grandma is secretly Daigo in disguise, I don't think they're gonna beat a top rank player, modern controls or not.

Keep your MC, use ur bot proudly, the fact that capcom allow this in Ranked is Not your fault grandma, but you wont convince any1 that your doing legit gameplay, also wow u nerd... why write soo much

And YOU clearly don't know how Modern Controls work, nor how fighting games work, if you think that's true.
DYNAMIC mode is what an 89 year old grandma could use to just mash and maybe win a match or two, but wouldn't you know it, it's not available to use in ranked, or even casual online play.
And even using Dynamic, there's no way she'd beat an actual top level player who would see her character flailing about and punish counter her for half her health, then Meaty-Punish-Counter her on wakeup.
If modern is so easy an 89 year old grandma could beat pros, why don't you do it? Play modern, mash buttons, win Evo, get a million dollars if it's so easy, right?
Imagined theoretical fantasy, come back when you have actual proof that it's happening, please. :)

I'm actually trying to Git Gud at this game, now that I'm actually getting into fighting games for the first time, in a game that's actually active and I can fight people who are my own skill level for once!
Because I'm not writing for YOUR benefit.
I used your post as a springboard to prove to OTHER PEOPLE why people panicking about Modern Controls are wrong. You're not the target, you're the tool I'm using to explain why modern isn't an instant win button.

I'm so much of a nerd that when I get home from my job of actually working on video games, I sometimes make RPG games as a hobby. Yes, sometimes my ideal way to rest after spending all day working on video games, is to go home and make more video games. XD
Right now, I'm actually making a whole Tabletop RPG setting to use in a campaign for some friends, and homebrewing the heck out of The Savage Worlds system. Because I find it fun.
Much like how using your posts to better inform other people is fun! :P
MC 4 any person used to fighting games its an absolute advantage, dont know why lie about this like you have the Custom one issuing commands, that takes memory, speed coordination... do i really have to explain this? IF you have played fighting games before you have a big advantage... WHY in ranked? like i said if any 1 is new and likes using the bot fine but in ranked 4 me makes no sense capcom allowing this, like award the lazy, feels like a step back, like something not very gamer like--- more like a lady pleasure tool.
