Best Fighting Game Ever Made?

Street Fighter 6 has been out for a minute now. We've had some time to digest. Its pretty good isn't it?
I mean everyone is strong for the most part and the game is fun to play. The Drive System is honestly one of the best fighting game systems I can think of. The splting of resources and the utility of it is just brilliant.

The accessibility the game has given new players is a great thing as well. Despite how people feel about Modern Controls. We have more people then ever playing fighting games and that's huge. I've seen too many games dead on arrival for the lack of a large player base. (Capcom Fighting Collection for a recent example. Or Samurai Shodown)

Look at Guilty Gear Strive. I'm a huge fan of the old Guilty Gear games going way back. It had the players but people dropped it. Strive really tired its hardest to make itself accessible. But in doing so, they ended up really stripping down what made Guilty Gear so unique I think. Dumbing down characters and limiting the freedom of expression old time fans came to expect of of the series. I really just hated that game. Also the lobby system was broken at launch, and just stupid in concept.

Street Fighter 6 succeeded where Strive failed. That's just a huge accomplishment that is often overlooked I think. Its also wasn't broken at launch. They patched out that weird grab exploit setting thing. Nobody had like a dumb unblockable or infinite. Inputs are kinda weird at times. Like "there is no way that super came out" sort of stuff. I'm pretty precise as well and I know its not just me. That may be my biggest gripe so far. Other then that, its just a really solid game.

I'm looking forward to seeing how SF6 matures over time because its honestly shaping up to be one of the best fighting games off all time.

Its for sure up there, its got that just one more round addictiveness that a good fighter needs.

It's turning out pretty damn good, as someone who has never given a single ♥♥♥♥ about SF but has played fighting games since SC2.

The real test will come in a few months when Tekken8 drops. I'm not holding my breath on MK1 being good. Every single MK looks top until they're played, wherein the realization that it's just another NRS game sets in.

I think a fair amount of SF6 players are playing only until Tekken8 releases. Some will return, others won't. I'm one of those players so maybe my theory is pure projection, dunno.

Ive played almost every SF game but this is the first one that i started taking seriously instead of just button mashing recklessly with friends. i love it.

i dunno bout all time great quite yet, but guilty gear strive is borin, while this games non stop fun. even the salt is fun. wen i lose i jus wanna jump bak in n try somethin different.

genuinely a great game... but hard to call it better than dbfz. we can come bak to this discussion after dbfz finally gets rollback.

Whenever I tried fighting games, I've been stressing out on amount of people coming from out of region/wifi/horrible connections. This might be the first time I can focus on improving instead of nit picking opponents.

I'd say best netcode for a fighter and potential best fighter it clearly needs abit of balance work.

I still prefer SFV, for the larger roster of characters. For having characters I really enjoyed learning and no annoying superfluous ♥♥♥♥.
