Anyone know any decent auto meaties?
i mean setups into meaty that doesn't require timing. i suck at doing meaties, and i'm just trying to record one so i can practice wake up reversal....since the timing window on that seems absurdly small

edit: wow you people are dense. i'm talking about normalized setups. ie, land sweep + whiff a move with the right frame data + do meaty move. so it all lines up perfectly. This has been a thing since forever

I don't know how to do exactly what you want but in the practice mode there is a "throw escape practice" where Ryu knocks you down and then does a meaty throw or punch. If that is what you mean then you can use that or see how Capcom has that set up.

They give you modern controls, mash 1 button auto combos and one button supers...and now you want no-work meaties? Wtf? Why are you even playing? What's the point when everything is automated? Does no one want to work for anything anymore? The whole point of modern is to introduce CASUALS to fighting games, but once you're in, you actually still need to do work. Just because they give you braindead access to the things that look pretty, it doesn't mean that they need to do it with the nuanced stuff like meaties, frame traps and option-select. Those are still on you to learn.

lol people so angry about modern that they just take everything out of context.

what OP wants is a meaty setup that he poorly calls "automatic" when what he means is that he wants a nice simple setup into a meaty where the framedata just lines up nice and just works with no delays, no frame kill normal's ect.
so he can easily set the training dummy up for practice.

hes not asking for a modern control auto assist meaty setup lol.
rage more. :steamsalty:

Lol, people so averse to working they want auto-everything.

"My timing is not great, is there a way for me to perform this difficult thing?"

"I don't want to practice, is there a way for me to still look like I know how to play?"

"I don't want to put in too much effort but I still want to have the stats and replays that inflate my ego"

"My execution isn't great, can I still do the thing that requires execution?"

Yeah, lol is right.

You see if you actually read his post, you'd realize that he's asking for an easy meaty setup that he can record and practice against. Nobody is asking for auto meaties

If you're trying to practice reversals isn't there already a "dealing with pressure" setting on the dummy? It defaults to sweeping you then doing some random meaties on wakeup.

https://fullmeter.com/fatonline/#/framedata/SF6/Ryu

just use this for any character

just find a knockdown (HKD or KD) look at how + you are on the knock down. then jsut do some simple subtraction maths to fill the frames with stuff so your normal is in its active frames when they wake up.

training mode lets you see all this stuff too. but sometimes its easier to just look at a list. instead of pressing all your normal in-game to see their data.

example
Juri
just Sweep (no counter or punish counter states) +32
dash (22f) leaves you with 10 frames left
cHP (8 frame startup, 4 frame active)
they will wake up into the meaty active frames

yeah i think there's options for that in there somewhere. it has a pretty substantial list to select from.
training mode in sf6 is rad :)

If you knew what a meaty was, you'd know they ALL require timing. It can be by pressing a button (or buttons) on the first possible frame available to you in order to kill a specific amount of frames, or it can be performing an action right after a knockdown, again to kill frames so the "meaty" move hits during the few frames it's actuve. Regardless, they all require timing. There isn't a meaty setup where there isn't an action involved besides knocking down an opponent and then simply pressing a meaty button. That's not a thing.

Your arguments are exactly what lazy folks do, they attack character instead of addressing the issue. "wah wah rage some more" is exactly the same as someone resorting to names during an argument. It doesn't address the issue and it's a cheap tactic that's supposed to get the critic to suddenly defend against the accusation versus talking about the actual issue. It's lazy and it's obvious. So keep using the "rage bro, lol" responses, but whenever I read it, I have to laugh at how irrelevant your word salad actually is... Which is why I glaze right over your posts because they don't say anything of value. Just memes and quips. Nothing else.

geez dude. take a break before you pop a vein. the OP's wording is just a bit poor. and your taking things wildly out of context and getting super mad about it lol
addressing the issue? is that what you call what you're doing? your posts are just strait up attacks at the OP for things he didn't even ask for...

what OP doesn't want.
- modern mode automatic assisted meaty setups
- trying to randomly time a button on wake up so it hits meaty because he doesn't know a setup for one that reliably works with proper frame data. this is what hes talking about with 'timing'
- doesn't want a complex setup that involves whiffing normal's for frame kills

what the OP does want
- a simple no fuss meaty setup that you can just do in sequence and it works, so he can setup the dummy for what he wants practice. and theres plenty of those in the game that are super easy to do.

juri
in corner OD DP (+5) > sLP when you land.
meaty. simple, easy, no fuss.
