This game is so much worse of a reflex test than prior games
Christ it gets tiresome sometimes. as i push higher into plat i feel like my nerves are just totally frayed. theres always a balance between reads and reflex in fighting games, but my god is is reflex skewed in sf6's favor. Watching for red and green flashes is like 85% of winning at this point. and thanks to drive rush, when your reflexes fail or you guess wrong on something about 40% of your health is gone. welp

seriously this game has me feeling twitchy

DR is pretty crazy fast inside of half screen honestly, so I totally feel your twitchiness. Might be a good idea to take a break every couple of sets to give yourself a bit of a mental reboot. Helps me a lot when I start getting antsy or tilted or impatient.

My first time playing FT10 got me so tired I called the day. Too many things happen all at once, and it's hard to keep up. So, I know the feeling.

you're not supposed to react to drive impact or drive rush purely on reflex. you need to be aware of when your opponent might go for it and observe their patterns, then you can focus on reacting to these options. even pros get wallsplat by DI all the time, you can't be ready for everything all at once.

right, but what i'm saying is that even when i'm EXPECTING it, i often eat it anyway. I can call it out loud and still not hit the button fast enough when it finally comes out

yah, it's not random, moves are based on combos options and combos patterns. there are ways of being prepared and aware for the Drive Impact.
sf6 isn't SF, it basically a react to the drive impact mini game, if you're bad at the mini game, you'll be bad at sf6 regardless of how good your SF fundamentals are from previous games
