try keeping only one controller attached to your pc before booting sf6 up, also in start>run> joy, cpl>advanced keep hori as preferred controller

if you need clarification let me know.

SF6 may not detect your desired controller if more than one are connected to the PC at a time.

99% of PC games don’t have PlayStation controller button prompts. This is yet another one.

You can mod the game to show PS button prompts.

It will work just fine except you get ABXY button prompts like on xbox/pc instead of square, x, triangle, circle.

I have two controllers: DualSense and DS4. If I start the game with DualSense, I can use DS4 buttons until I get in the game - then nothing works. Same thing happens with DualSense when I start the game with DS4.
Wild things happen in this game.

This is by design in single player content. The first controller you use is the primary and is the one that controls single player fights. The rest will still work for menu navigation and moving around in World Tour, but only the primary controller is used in fights.

This was done so that people who use an arcade stick as their primary input can still just plug in whatever else to use for menu and world navigation because arcade stick world navigation in World Tour mode is awful.

Why Capcom didn't just choose to have all connected controllers work all the time everything in single player modes is beyond me.

Yeah, I get that. But for example my bro is using DualSense for World Tour and Battle Hub because he doesn't play anything else. And I'm in fighting ground all the time.
So if I play online, he has to turn off the game for controllers to switch and I need to do the same if he play other World Tour.

I agree. It's beyond me why Capcom did that. Reminds me of SFV controller problems. I had a lot of generic ones that didn't work, and DS4 had issues with Steam overlay. I think they fixed that somewhere in between.
