Help with Ken combos plz

I am practicing with Ken and I am having trouble consistently hitting a DP after I do the combo with MP > HP > special dash > 6236+K > 6236+P
I land behind my opponent after the 6236+K, but I can't make the DP hit consistently. Sometimes I hit, sometimes I whiff it.
I am trying the combo with both classic and modern controls, but the result is the same, even with modern controls and one button DP, I still whiff it sometimes.
Can someone help me understand how to land it consistenly. Thanks.

Tested in lab, are you using heavy DP? Light tends to whiff but heavy lands consistently for me. Also make sure you're buffering the dp motion during dragonlash, it needs to be pretty early otherwise it won't juggle properly.

Because I play mostly with modern controls, I was using the medium DP with classic controls (so it would be the same DP as the modern control).
With modern controls, even spamming the special button right after dragonlash doesn't seem to always work.

Yeah, heavy seems more consistent to me, medium works just as well though, just make sure to buffer it during dragonlash rather than pressing it after. I tested it with modern, you need to make sure to press your special button just a little bit before dragonlash finishes so that it comes out as early as possible.

Im having this same issue. I miss it 30% of the time
