to cancel a normal or in a combo you don't need the parry buttons anymore all you do is hit a normal and →→ and youll get drive rush.
think of the →→ just like cancelling a special like cMK, ↓↘→ fireball
you pre buffer it while your doing the normal
Practice.
it doesn't need to be done at lightning speed just needs to be done a tthe right time. your basically just trying dash out of a normal early and that initiates the normal to cancel into Drive Rush
i started with an xbox one controller but when i switched to a PS4 controller it got much easier. it took a lot of attempts on stick, on PS4 D-pad it's effortless
c.mk buffer f f. If c.mk hits u DR, if it misses you don't DR.
The following is assuming you are on P1 side:
Generally, when I play stick and need to tap a motion like forward, forward, I physically tap the stick with my index finger, and let the recoil come back to neutral each time. I'm using the part of my index finger that is closest to my palm, if that make any sense. If I need to back, back, I use my thumb the same way, tapping the stick back.
I have no idea what stick you're using, but when I play on my Sanwa, it's doable like that. Cheaper sticks will have less responsiveness, and the type of gate your stick has can make tapping motions easier or harder.
