SF6 unplayable overnight?

I'll start by saying that I have an RTX 1050 so obviously I will not be experiencing the game's full potential on my crappy 5-year-old laptop. However overnight the GAME SOUND is gone and there is a CONSISTENT STUTTER across WT, BH and online matches, which renders them completely unplayable. It was completely fine for the last 3 weeks after launch.
Has anyone experienced this after lauch?

First problem, using a laptop.
Second, specs?

just some basic troubleshooting below.

try verify file integrity,
also hope that your GPU drivers are up to date
check sound volume in system/game
set graphic settings to low/normal whichever works for you.
check for any new background programs installed very recently.
make sure steam client is updated, also try steam beta if using stable and vice versa.

Sorry to hear about your woes. Are you sure about your GTX 1050 having only 2GB DDR5, it usually comes with 4GB especially for a CPU as powerful as yours. The game recommends minimum 4-6GB of GPU Memory or VRAM so to say.

Like DankPhil said the minimum is 1060 6GB of vram

I'm on a GTX1650 laptop, 4GB vram, settings on medium, a couple of options turned off and scaled resolution to 4 at 1080p - online works just fine, always 60fps. Yes, fps can drop in WT or in BH, but I don't mind it in WT, and BH drops if I set it to 40 people visible or more.

Never had any sound issues, and online can also stutter because of ping.

Updating my GPU driver and recompiling the shaders did it for me. But that's coming from an AMD gpu user.

the new drivers might cause it, reverting to older version should solve it

unfortunately it looks like your gpu is below minimum. You could try messing around with settings but if you really wanna play you should probably get a different computer
