Without access to the investigation logs, sent in by e-mail, https://www.animaze.us/faq/tech/gatherlogs
we can only guess what might have happened.
The most likely reasons for this are
- you have either not allowed its driver installation with the required privileges,
OR
- you have installed it multiple times, (and are now using the wrong instance),
OR
- you have installed it correctly, and only once, but multiple apps are trying to use it at the same time and are coming against the Windows exclusive access rule for webcams, which says only one app can use one webcam at a given time.
If it is the former two, please go into the Device Manager and ensure there is just one (properly working, not disabled) Animaze virtual webcam. If there is none, you can find its install kit in the prerequisites folder and install it manually. If there are too many, you can remove the extra ones, to remove confusion about which one to use. If you are unsure how to use the Device Manager, please enlist the help of someone more experienced (do not randomly remove devices as that can affect your OS installation).
If it is the last one, please read the article carefully and all should be good :

Last but not least, modern security software (and even the Windows OS) has "permitted webcam access" lists that need to be managed.
Make sure your Windows OS and security software are not blocking certain apps from accessing certain webcams by correctly managing these access lists.
This is as far as we can go on guesswork alone :)
Worth noting that for paying customers, the virtual webcam is not the main (or the recommended) way of getting high-quality videos out of Animaze, you are better off suing more advanced ways like the dedicated render window capture, or Spout2 broadcast to OBS.
Cheers, and happy streaming!
