Camera doesn't work?
Installed this app recently and the camera doesn't work for some reason. I know the camera is fine since I can stream on twitch with it. I made sure the Animaze virtual camera was installed but the app still doesn't recognize my camera

Hello,

I assume you're talking about your physical web-camera, yes? Is your web-camera feed (in Animaze) showing a black screen, or is there a message along the lines of "no camera available"?

If your user feed is black, that means that the camera is sending Animaze black frames.

1. Try changing the camera's resolution in Animaze > Settings > Video Graphics
2. Make sure the camera is working in the Windows app (press Windows key, type Camera 3. App and see if there’s a camera feed)
4. Make sure your drivers are up to date
5. If none of the above work, send me the Animaze log from Steam\steamapps\common\Animaze\Data and the dxdiag file. To get the dxdiag file, press Windows key+ R, type in dxdiag, click OK and save all information. Send them by mail to support[@]animaze[.]us.

A workaround for this problem is SplitCam, a 3rd party app that lets you feed your camera through it and then use the app as an input source.

Download SplitCam and install it (it is free).
Create a scene in SplitCam and click on the Media Layers “+” sign.
Click on Web Camera.
Select your web-camera and click on “Add camera”.
Go to Animaze and from the drop-down list above the camera feed select SplitCam Video Driver.

If the web-camera feed says that the camera is not available,

1. Make sure that no other software is using your web-camera.
2. A common issue - OBS camera in scene is active. This uses the camera, even if OBS and/or that scene is not displayed.
3. Another common issue is that a program running in the background is using the camera unbeknownst to you. You can do a full check following these instructions: https://www.howtogeek.com/289333/how-to-tell-which-application-is-using-your-windows-pcs-webcam/
4. Change your resolution and frame rate, maybe it’s on a setting that is not supported by your camera.
Check “camera privacy" In Windows's settings. Make sure you have allowed Animaze access.
